This is the second piece of Nepenthes trilogy.

The piece was inspired by embroideries of the Hmong tribes.
The Hmong tribe's embroidery takes objects of nature such as flowers, leaves, butterflies and birds, and makes them into colourful patterns that emphasise their shapes.

I applied the pencil lines that resemble thread lines of embroideries in this piece in order to capture the fragile aesthetics and sensitivity of embroideries.

I intend to create one more piece in this style in a different shape to make a trilogy.
