I'm a freelance illustrator based in Brighton, UK. I graduated from the University of Brighton with first class honours in summer, 2009.
All my work is completely hand-drawn using a range of media such as pencils, coloured pencils and pens. I find it most calming, almost like meditation, when I'm with my pencils, covering a nice and crisp piece of paper with my drawings.
I have worked in a range of fields, designing CD covers, T shirts, brand identity illustration, and much more.
I enjoy taking clients' requests and ideas, and finding the best way to express both my aesthetics and the clients' requirements.

My inspirations come from things I'm naturally attracted to such as tribal lifestyles that might be on their way to be lost forever, or traditional female social activities such as weaving, knitting and embroidery. I sometimes feel that I could look at backpackers' holiday snaps of those tribal activities forever!
Textiles from around the world, from which my obsession with print-making comes, fascinate me also.
Surreal worlds inhabited by other-worldly creatures and people are another source of inspiration. I love painters who create their own mystical world within their paintings (almost like great pieces of literature) such as Hieronymus Bosch and Peter Bruegel. I aim to create my very own quirky world within my drawings.
